Terrifier 3

It’s been five years since the last movie’s events. Sienna is struggling with some serious mental stuff and staying at a psychiatric hospital. For Christmas, she hangs out at her aunt and uncle’s place, finding comfort in their warmth and especially in her close bond with her cousin Gabbie. Meanwhile, her brother Jonathan is trying to leave the past behind by focusing on his college studies.

But guess what? That creepy clown, Art, who Sienna thought she got rid of by chopping off his head, isn’t really dead! He’s back together again and ready to cause trouble along with Victoria—who’s just escaped from the mental ward. So now, Sienna has to face this twisted enemy once more on a bloody path filled with chaos.

This time around instead of Halloween vibes it’s all about Christmas cheer—except with a freaky twist! Picture Art dressed up as a super crazy Santa Claus. While you get more details about Sienna’s dad’s artistic side, they don’t dive deep into why she’d make any kind of “hero” figure.

The movie takes its time building up—starting out slow with scenes bouncing between Art’s gruesome acts and pretty dull coverage of what Sienna and Jonathan are going through mostly mentally before getting into gear later on.
In this flick, one of Jonathan’s classmates has a girlfriend who’s oddly obsessed with the crazy crime situation that they and Jonathan’s brother got tangled up in.

After setting all that up, the movie shifts gears halfway through and really goes off the rails in the last third. It becomes a wild gore fest where nothing’s left to the imagination: we’re talking about chopping, slicing, scalping—you name it. There’s even a scene where rats get shoved down someone’s throat. Yeah, it’s intense.

The big showdown between Sienna and Art pulls out all the stops, featuring a chainsaw right out of something like “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and even a mythical sword. Now, Art the clown is your standard evil clown figure—there are tons of them in horror films—but he works because actor David Howard Thornton brings some dark humor to those gruesome murders. Still, like lots of legendary horror villains, Art just won’t quit no matter what you do to him. This kind of makes suspense take a back seat since you know he’s not going anywhere soon. The film ends up being all about creative ways people get gored.

There’s not much new happening here plot-wise, but Damien Leone directs with style and energy that’s sure to please his fans.
Get ready for some bloody action with impressive special effects to keep things exciting. Lauren LaVera is back in her role, and she’s great, though this time around, her character doesn’t have as epic a journey as in Terrifier 2. Keep an eye out for a fun cameo by Tom Savini, the legendary special effects guru, who brings some flair to the screen. And don’t worry about saying goodbye just yet—the ending clearly sets the stage for another sequel!
