So, picture this: Gru pops by his high school reunion at the notorious Licée Pas Bon—the go-to place for baddies. He runs into an old frenemy, Maxime Le Mal, who’s still sour over some long-ago prank. Things boil over; cops storm in and bust Maxime. Before getting hauled away though, Maxime promises he’ll make Gru’s life a nightmare.

Gru’s boss throws a curveball and suggests he take his whole fam somewhere far from trouble. So yep, they pack up—Gru, Lucy, the kiddos Margo, Edith, Agnes, and little Gru Jr., along with Minions Phil, Ron, and Ralph—and head to this chill town of Mayflower. They gotta come up with new names and personas which proves more entertaining than anything! Then there’s the nosey neighbors with their daughter Poppy who tries to pull Gru into committing theft.

Back at HQ meanwhile? The League of Anti-Villains isn’t lounging around—they turn five Minions into spy superstars with wild powers while Maxime hatches a plan using cockroaches somehow to mess with Gru.

Chris Renaud jumps back into the director’s chair for round four of Despicable hijinks. Here’s what you can expect: new bad blood mixed with familiar foes making a return because coming back to bug Gru never gets old! Plus he’s got his hands full now fathering one extra offspring which spins him on an emotional rollercoaster about raising boys these days!!

This one’s all about that touchy-feely bond between dads and kids—a theme aimed directly at those heartstrings we all got—because really how many Papa Bears would be willing not doing… absolutely anything for them babies?? And oh yeah don’t worry your little yellow sidekicks are along keeping things mighty interesting!
Despicable Me 4 is all about fun and laughs! The Minions, with their silly antics, are back to crack everyone up. Even Lucy gets in on the action with a few funny moments of her own.

The movie’s got some great tunes too—think Pharrell Williams mixed with awesome ’80s songs. There’s even a cover of “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” by Tears for Fears, which fits perfectly with all these villains trying to take over everything! The film zooms by, bringing fans all those beloved characters and entertaining scenes we can’t get enough of. It might not shake things up like the original did, but it totally leaves you smiling from start to finish.

If you’re watching in Italian, Gru’s voiced by Max Giusti instead of Steve Carell. You’ll probably notice Stefano Accorsi doing something unique as Maxime’s voice. Meanwhile, Carolina Benvenga now voices Lucy because Arisa isn’t doing it anymore.
